The controversy over filing of an FIR against Madhya Pradesh Governor Ramesh Naresh Yadav has taken a new turn with the High Court on Monday issuing a notice to the Attorney-General seeking his opinion on a petition filed by the Governor seeking quashing of the FIR.
The FIR has been filed in connection with allegations that Mr.Yadav was involved in the recruitment and admission scam relating to the State Professional Examination Board.
Ashish Trivedi, one of the lawyers of the Governor, said that a Division Bench also asked the STF, to treat the Governor “gracefully’’ and not resort to any “coercive action’’.
