Grenade explosion leaves 7 injured in Kashmir

Seven civilians were injured on Saturday afternoon when suspected militants hurled grenade in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, 60 km away from Srinagar.

The militants tossed a grenade at an armoured vehicle of the army at Ganjiwada area in Anantnag district. However, the militants missed the target and the grenade exploded on the road.

“Seven civilians received splinter injuries,” said a police official. One civilian received wounds on head.

The area was cordoned off but no was one arrested.
