Goa bypoll: curbs on liquor sale

Panaji: All premises licensed to sell liquor in the Panaji and Valpoi Assembly constituencies will remain closed from 5 p.m. on August 21 till midnight on August 23 for polling, and from midnight on August 28 to midnight on August 29 on account of counting of votes.

By-election to the two Assembly constituencies are scheduled to be held on August 23.

Restaurants with liquor permits can serve food on these days, but will have to put up a board stating that no liquor will be served, said a State government order on Friday.
