Geelani visits kin of youth killed in Tral

May 02, 2015 02:10 am | Updated 02:10 am IST - SRINAGAR:

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Friday visited the families of two youth killed in Tral in south Kashmir last month.

A large number of people gathered for Mr. Geelani’s rally in Tral, where he spoke about the challenges ahead for the Kashmiri people from the “RSS-PDP alliance” and called for shortening the duration and the number of pilgrims for the Amarnath Yatra.

Mr. Geelani, whose attempt to go to Tral was scuttled earlier, gave the police the slip by sneaking out of his Hyderpora residence in Srinagar before dawn.
