Film festival at Dharamshala

The fourth edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) will be held at McLeod Ganj in Dharamshala between November 5 and 8.

In a build-up to the festival, DIFF is organising a best of DIFF 2014 film-screening at the India International Centre from October 8. The screening is a part of the festival’s goal to conduct outreach programmes to showcase the best of independent cinema for various communities to engage with.

The screening will begin with Switzerland-based Mano Khalil’s Beekeeper on October 8. It is the story of a beekeeper who lost everything in the Turkish-Kurdish war. On October 9, A Gesar Bard's Tale will be screened. Directed by Donagh Coleman and Lharigtso, the story revolves around a 13-year-old-boy. The screenings are open to IIC members as well as the general public each day.
