Farmers’ team visits Mandsaur

June 14, 2017 10:13 pm | Updated 10:13 pm IST - NEW DELHI

A delegation of the All-India Kisan Sabha led by its general secretary and CPI (M) leader Hannan Mollah visited the families of farmers killed in police firing in Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. It demanded compensation, a government job for one family member and State funding for education of their children.

“The farmers said the police firing was unprovoked and was with intention to kill,” said a Kisan Sabha press release. “Most of the injuries were above the waist, on the chest, head, etc.”

The organisation will observe June 16 as protest day across India.
