Himachal Pradesh University on Tuesday conferred the honorary D.Lit degrees on former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman and an eminent space scientist Koppillil Radhakrishnan, Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr. Raghuram Govinda Rajan, poet Govind Vyas and veteran journalist Vepa Rao. Vice-President Hamid Ansari presented the D.Lit Degrees to recipients in the university auditorium here.
Dr. Koppillil Radhakrishnan, Mr. Govind Vyas and Professor Vepa Rao received the degrees personally while it was conferred on Dr. Raghuram G. Rajan in absentia. It was the XXII Convocation of the Himachal Pradesh University. The Ph.s were awarded to 137 scholars and gold medals to 123 students.
