Drivers hurt in engine-goods train smash

Four drivers of a light diesel engine were injured in a collision with a goods train in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district on Tuesday.

Train services were disrupted following the incident which occurred between the Plassey and Rejinagar stations a little past 1 p.m, an Eastern Railway release said.

Senior officials rushed to the site to supervise restoration operations.

Among the injured, two drivers were on duty and the other two off duty.
