One CRPF jawan has been injured in an ongoing encounter between militants and security forces in Srinagar on Saturday morning.

The firefight broke out between militants and security focres in Srinagar's Chatabal area in the morning when secuirty personnel launched a search operation of a residential area.

"Intermittent firing is on," said the police. One CRPF jawan has suffered injury in the exchange of fire.

Two militants are believed trapped. There are reports of stone pelting in the area.
