Contingency plans for Amarnath Yatra reviewed

To deal with any contingency during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra a high level meeting of officers was on Sunday chaired by the Inspector General Jammu zone to review the security arrangements.

The inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Danish Rana, chaired the meeting to review security arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra which is scheduled to commence from July 2.

Stressing for keeping contingency plan ready in coordination with the civil administration, the IGP directed the officers concerned to identify the alternate places for accommodating yatris in case yatra halts due to landslides on highway, rainfall, or any other emergent situation. - PTI
