The Opposition Congress workers on Wednesday staged demonstrations and held protests at all district headquarters in Rajasthan in support of farmers’ demands for loan waivers and minimum support prices for crops. Party leaders addressed farmers at meetings and handed over memorandums to District Collectors.

Protest govt. policies

A huge rally of farmers of the Shekhawati region was organised at Krishi Upaj Mandi in Sikar, where the Congress showed its strength and registered a strong protest against the BJP government’s policies.

Addressing the rally, Congress leader Sachin Pilot demanded to know why farmers’ loans were not being waived in Rajasthan after a similar decision was taken by the BJP governments in U.P. and Maharashtra.
