Chouhan seeks bigger Madhya Pradesh Bhavan

January 15, 2015 01:38 am | Updated 01:38 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The Madhya Pradesh government wants a bigger State Bhavan in the capital.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and asked for an increase in FAR (floor area ratio) for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Bhavan.

Mr. Chouhan said the existing Bhavan in Chanakyapuri fell outside the Lutyens’ Zone and was entitled to enhanced FAR limits following the recent relaxations approved by the Ministry.

“Mr. Naidu has directed the officials concerned to examine the same for further consideration,” said a Ministry official.

Mr. Chouhan has also sought Central assistance for the Sinhasth Kumbh Mela to be held in Ujjain next year.
