Breaking his silence on the Bulandshahr violence in Uttar Pradesh, where police officer Subodh Kumar Singh was killed in mob violence, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has described the incident as shameful and asserted that such incidents place the country’s pride at stake. Addressing presspersons on Sunday, he said, “By calling India intolerant based on few incidents of this type is wrong and it gives opportunity to enemy countries to blame us. Thus, I feel calling entire nation as intolerant is equal to anti-nationalism.”
He added that both cow and human life must be protected in India.
On the controversy over the caste of Lord Hanuman he said, “Attaching a particular caste to our ancestors is, in my view, a bigger social, spiritual and religious crime being committed by some politicians.”
