‘Black Day’ planned

October 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - Jammu:

The Jammu and Kashmir Unity Foundation (JKUF) on Sunday urged the people to observe October 22 as “Black Day.”

“On October 22, Pakistani forces, assisted by Tribals in the name of Jihad, attacked Princely state of Jammu and Kashmir and indulged in loot, plunder and killing of innocents at unprecedented level,” JKUF convenor Ajaat Jamwal told reporters here.

The JKUF also called upon the Centre to take measures to free the area of J&K state occupied by Pakistan illegally -- including Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Gilgit and Baltistan -- as human rights violations are being committed by the Pakistan Army and ISI in the region, he said.

The organisation announced that it would hold a seminar on the topic of ‘Military Invasion not Tribal Raid by Pakistan in 1947’ on October 22 to commemorate the memory of those “killed, looted and plundered by the Pakistani Army” and its paid Militia. PTI
