Film actor and BJP MP from Patna Sahib, Shatrughan Sinha, on Friday cautioned the party against the united force of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad as both are ‘tried, tested and popular’ leaders of the State who knew “our strength and weaknesses.”
Mr Sinha alleged that some “arrogant” Bihar BJP leaders had been working against him but he was ready to serve the party in any role he was assigned by the party leadership.
Earlier on Thursday, the sulking actor-politician had said he had no clue why was not being included in the Union Cabinet of Narendra Modi.
For the last one year Mr. Sinha has apparently been ignored by the party; he was not invited to the State party meeting held in Patna in April attended by party president Amit Shah. His name and pictures were also conspicuously missing from party posters and banners put up on the occasion.
Recently, the residents of Patna Sahib had pasted “missing” posters of him for his long absence from the constituency. After wining the Lok Sabha elections in May 2014 Mr. Sinha has visited his constituency only on the odd occasion.
