Badal discharged from hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who was admitted in PGIMER for treatment of chest congestion and fever, was on Wednesday discharged from the hospital after having made a “remarkable” recovery.

88-year-old Badal, who was admitted to the hospital on January 22, was discharged in the morning following remarkable recovery from chest infection, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s office said.

A team of doctors, having examined him thoroughly, decided to discharge him from the hospital as the infection in his chest has almost cleared and was fine now, he said.

However, the doctors advised Mr Badal to refrain from vigorous travelling and exposure to intense cold.

The doctors have also advised him to take rest and maintain restriction over the entry of visitors calling on him to inquire about his well being as a precautionary measure. - PTI
