Alleged Naxals arrested in Bihar

Three alleged Maoist ultras, including a woman, and two Maoist sympathisers were arrested in Bihar on Friday.

The Jamui police arrested Savita Murmu, Jharkhand resident, and Brahmadeo and Buddhan Bhulla, Bihar residents, from Janakpur village, Jitendra Rana, superintendent of police (SP), Jamui, told The Hindu.

“We had information that a military wing of the Naxals was to arrive in the village. Accordingly, we sent a search team. The woman is part of the military squad. We also recovered explosives, detonators, uniforms and Maoist literature,” Mr. Rana said.
