The Aam Aadmi Party has directed its State leaders to gear up and work full-time for the party’s “Mission Vistar”.

“We have decided to expand the party base in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh”, said Khem Chand Jagirdar, central observer who had come here to organise the two-day State convention.

He said senior party leader Sanjay Singh will now be the in charge of these States and monitor the comprehensive action plan on the expansion proposals. He would be assisted by Delhi party MLAs Prakash Jarwal and Naresh Yadav.

Himachal Pradesh party convener Rajan Sushant said that party units have been formed in at least 58 Assembly constituencies out of a total of 68.

He said in the next stage, the party would form districts to booth level committees in all the Assembly segments. “We have given the slogan of “mission 49 plus” for the Vidhan Sabha elections in 2017”, he said

The party would also be discussing issues of unemployment, heavy debts, industrialisation, depleting ecology and corporatisation of all natural resources during the deliberations, he added.
