Two women burnt to death by Maoists in West Bengal

Four suspected Maoists were on Monday arrested for allegedly burning to death the mother and sister of a CPI(M) member at Bagdubi village here, police said.

“Jaisingh Baske, Mansingh Baske, Sripati Soren and Somlal Mandi were arrested for burning to death Kamala Hembram (85) and Saraswati (55),” police said.

On June 25, the four set on fire the house of CPI(M) zonal committee member Nabin Hembram, they said, adding, while Hembram managed to flee, the women were charred to death.
