Two militants were killed in an encounter with police commandos in Thoubal district of Manipur, police said on Wednesday.
The commandos who were checking passsers-by at Sarik Konjin area in the district on Tuesday evening spotted two persons moving in a suspicious manner.
When asked to stop, they opened fire and in the ensuing encounter two militants were killed.
One AK 47 rifle and a small arm were recovered from them, the sources said.
