Police detained the six students, who are in their second year at Ganeshi Lal Narayandas Institute of Technology on Wednesday night for ragging Vikas Parashar, a first year student.

According to police, on the pretext of introducing freshers, the six used to force them to perform objectionable acts. They also used to assault their juniors who refused to act as per their instructions.

“The complaint against the six students were made by the parents of the junior students,” police inspector Surendra Kumar said.
