School bags national award

Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School has bagged the best school award at the national-level YoungBull$ Money Challenge 2009.

The competition, which is being conducted every year by Mumbai-based YoungBull$ Education, was aimed at teaching basic money skills to students. Four students of the school — K. Hemalatha of Class VII, P. Arul Vani of Class VIII, R. Hari Priya of Class IX and Lakshmi Priya of Class XI — won consolation prizes of Rs.250 each at the national-level written competition.

The competition was conducted all over India and students from13 States contested for the top slots.

T. Thanmathi of YoungBull$ Education congratulated Principal of the school S.A. Lourdusamy and Teacher S. Soucenadin.
