President Pratibha Patil today shortens her stay at Diu and left for Goa this morning, official sources said.
The President along with her family had arrived in Diu on December 31 and as per the original programme was to stay here till January six, but she decided to cut short her stay and left for the beach destination this morning, Collector Ankita Mishra said.
During her stay at the Union territory Diu she offered prayers at the famous Gangeshwar Mahadev temple and also attended cultural programmes organised by Diu district authority last night.
Ms. Patil will stay at Goa till January six, sources said.
