MP to offer air link between major cities in State

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to establish air connectivity between major cities in the State by deploying two nine-seater aircraft.

The State government today signed an agreement with a private company Ventura Airconnect Pvt Ltd for the purpose, MP State Tourism Development Corporation (MP STDC) Chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh told reporters.

Mr. Singh said that initially two single engine nine seater aircraft Cessna Grand Caravan will fly between cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.

MPTDC Managing Director Hariranjan Rao said the service would start in three months and it would later be extended to other cities of the State as well.

Chairman and Managing Director of Ventura Airconnect Uttam Kumar Bose said that they were in the process of acquiring the aircraft adding that Cessna Grand Caravan was a proven product and adding the company would go for bigger aircraft depending upon air traffic.
