M.P. gets new advisor to Supreme Court Commissioners

Bhopal-based activist Sachin Jain has been appointed the new state advisor to the national Commisisoners of the Supreme Court, to monitor starvation and employment issues in the State.

Mr. Jain, a local journalist and activist, will be analyzing the performance of relevant schemes using macro data and responding to emergency situations like drought and starvation deaths. He will also monitor issues of exclusion, discrimination and corruption in food and employment and will liaise with the government on grievance redressal mechanisms.

The appointment was made through a letter sent to the chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh.
