Kamat celebrates three years in office

Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Monday released a booklet titled ‘Golden Glow' containing the achievements of his government during the past one year. The coalition Government led by Mr. Kamat completed three years in office on Monday, and the booklet has been published to commemorate the completion of the three years.

A documentary, ‘Goa Marches On' , directed by Dharam Anand was also released at a function here. It was attended by Mr. Kamat, his Cabinet colleagues and senior government officers. The Chief Minister later said his government proposed to implement a scheme to provide financial assistance to Goan students who opted for certain courses in the Indian Institutes of Technology, the Indian Institutes of Management and the Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani.

He said fees amounting to Rs. 1 lakh would be paid by the government and a certain amount given to students every year for expenses on books and other things.
