An Election Commission spokesperson said 50 per cent to 55 per cent polling was registered in the 16 constituencies, which went to polls, as per the initial reports.

The constituencies which went for the last round polling were Chatra, Latehar, Simaria, Panki, Bishrampur, Hussainabad, Chhatarpur, Garhwa, Bhawnathpur, Manika, Chaibasa, Barkatha, Jagannathpur, Sareikella, Kharsawan and Daltonganj.

The fate of 290 candidates contesting from these seats was sealed in the EVMs. Polling for 65 seats had been completed in the previous four phases. The counting will be on December 23.
