BSP suspends protest against price rise

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati directed party workers on Thursday to suspend the agitation against the alleged wrong policies of the Centre and the price rise till the completion of the party's organisational work by the second half of August.

The directive was issued at a meeting of the party coordinators to chalk out a strategy to strengthen the BSP's base, a party spokesman said here. She directed that the organisational works be completed by August 20, and till then the agitation would remain suspended.
