6th batch of 3,094 pilgrims leave for Amarnath from Jammu

The 6th batch of 3,094 pilgrims on Monday left here for their onward journey to the cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir.

The batch left from the base camp of Bhagwati Nagar in a fleet of 118 vehicles amid security at 0800 hours, officials said here.

The batch, comprising 2,106 men ,738 women, 111 children and 139 sadhus, had already crossed Udhampur by 1100 hours and were expected to reach Pahalgam and Baltal camp by the evening, they said.
