30 p.c.polling till noon in Rajasthan panchayat polls

Thirty per cent polling was recorded till noon in the second phase of panchayat elections in Rajasthan on Friday to elect 337 zila parishad and 1,702 panchayat samiti members.

Over 97.37 lakh electorate are expected to cast their votes at 10,972 polling stations in 30 districts covering 85 panchayat samitis, a spokesman of the State election commission said.

The third and final round will be held on February 2. Voting for the first phase took place on January 20.
