Eleven people were killed and 21 others injured when a bus fell into a deep gorge in south Mizoram’s Lunglei district on Sunday. The bus, plying between Aizawl and Lawngtlai, rolled down the gorge near Ramlaitui village last night.
The deceased included four women, of whom two were pregnant, and the driver of the bus, the police said. The cause of the accident was yet to be determined.
The injured were taken to a hospital at Thenzawl in Serchhip district.
