No vulgarity in PK poster, says Aamir

Even as the poster of Aamir Khan-starrer PK , in which the actor appears in the buff, has sparked controversy, Aamir on Saturday maintained the issue had been blown out of proportion and said there was no vulgarity at all.

Aamir was in the city on a two-day visit to launch a cleanliness drive ‘Freedom From Waste’.

Defending the poster, he said: “There is no vulgarity in it and it has been flared up... People who watch the movie will learn the truth.” The poster of Rajkumar Hirani’s PK features Aamir posing nude with a strategically-placed tape recorder serving to hide his modesty.

On the cleanliness drive, Aamir said the country faced many problems, which required active public participation.
