Two persons, alleged to be the accomplices of Indian Mujahideen operative Hyder Ali who is suspected to be behind last year’s blasts in Patna and Bodh Gaya, were arrested by the National Investigation Agency at Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday.
The agency said it acted on a tip-off.
The accused reportedly assisted a module in procuring improvised explosive device components and helped Ali execute the blasts in Patna on a day the BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, addressed a rally there.
“The two have been identified as Ahmed and Fukruddin, both residents of Mirzapur,” said a senior NIA official.
