Professor Sushanta Duttagupta has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Vishwa Bharti University at Shanti Niketan.
The Human Resource Development Ministry issued the appointment orders here on Tuesday.
Professor Duttagupta has completed his five year tenure as Director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata and is on a three month extension at present. He succeeds Rajat Kanta Ray who has demitted office.
