National Herald case: Delhi High Court to hear Associated Journals appeal on January 28

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on an appeal by Associated Journals Ltd. (AJL) against a single judge’s order, asking it to vacate the Herald House, to January 28.

Chief Justice Rajendra Menon, who was heading the bench, cited health issues and asked the parties if proceedings could be deferred for about a week.

Next hearing

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for AJL — publisher of the National Herald newspaper — agreed to January 28 as the next date.
