Mamata launches 'Rail Bandhu'

The first on-board magazine of the Indian Railways, Rail Bandhu , was launched here on Monday.

Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee completed the formalities ahead of quitting the Union Cabinet and taking over as West Bengal Chief Minister. Ms. Banerjee is scheduled to resign as Railway Minister on Thursday.

The magazine, to be distributed free in the Rajdhanis, Shatabdis and AC coaches of the Durantos will be edited by an editorial board that comprises chairman of the Passenger Amenities committee Shivaprasana and chairman of the Passenger Services Committee Derek O'Brien.
