We are happy to announce the launch of thREAD, a lively digital space for perspectives that comes alive at 9.30 a.m. on Monday, October 12. Marking another major moment in The Hindu ’s vibrant journey as a media leader, thread (to be read as Thread) will tap the wonders of the digital medium bringing you fresh, new perspectives. You, our reader, will be the focus of this new narrative medium and your concerns will be ours too.

THread which you can access at > www.thehindu.com/thread will be a colourful space for debates on current issues, explanations, narratives and first-hand accounts that are painted as much with the brush as with the pen! There is no better way to appreciate the nuances of the world around us than to get top writers, communicators, journalists and experts to tell stories for us, and to do so in ways they are comfortable with. That’s what THread will seek to do every day. Our younger writers, both in-house and external, have shown great enthusiasm in telling their stories which you will read every day on www.thehindu.com . This rich collection of stories, unfolding daily, will be frequently updated. thread is anchored by our Innovations & Strategy Editor Sriram Srinivasan.

We have chosen thread as the title of our new narrative offering since it also connotes “thread” which indeed is the essence of conversation in the age of social media. This is what thread will seek to do at its core. The story-telling possibilities are endless. Come on this exciting journey and enrich your world!
