Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi being sworn as the Chief Minister of Bihar and administered the oath of office by the Governor, V. C. Pande, on March 11, 2000. Lalu resigned as Chief Minister of Bihar on July 25, 1997 and on the same day Rabri Devi was sworn in as Chief Minister.

The wheels of justice have moved at a snail's pace from the first chargesheet filed in July 1997 to the conviction on Sept. 30, 2013 of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad in the multi-crore fodder scam. A compressed timeline compiled by R Srikanth.
