Women’s panel film to be run on rail platforms

ID Card aims at making women aware of safety issues

The State Women’s Commission has joined hands with Railways to display a short film made by the commission in all railway platforms across the State.

The DVD of the short film, ID Card , was handed over to Railway Senior Divisional Manager (Commercial) Rajesh Chandran by commission chairperson M.C. Josephine at a function at the Central railway station here on Saturday. This film will be shown every hour at railway platforms.

The short film is aimed at generating awareness amongst women on their safety and to encourage them to approach the commission if they face safety issues.

The film also warns women against the dangers lurking in social media. The commission members and senior Railway officials were present on the occasion
