Verdict will give women self-confidence: Muneer

Social Welfare Minister M.K. Muneer has said that the verdict in the Soumya rape and murder case is one which will give self-confidence to women.

In an official press note issued here on Friday, he stated that the verdict made it clear that the Indian judiciary was there to protect women and uphold the rule of law. He added that the verdict would persuade the State government to strongly carry forward its activities for the security and welfare of women.
