Two Assam natives held with ganja

The Mannanthala police arrested two natives of Assam with alleged possession of 1.5 kg of ganja on Saturday.

Those arrested were identified as Sujith Sheel, 36, and Mrunal Asarjee, 25, of Hojai district in Assam.

They have been accused of peddling the contraband among migrant labourers and students in the Mannanthala and Mukkola areas. They used to allegedly smuggle the contraband through trains. They were remanded in judicial custody.
