The Hindu info centre at Pampa

The Hindu group of publications opened an information centre at Pampa on Friday in connection with the two-month Mandalam-Makaravilakku festival at the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala.

M.S.P. Namboodiri, Melsanthi (head priest) at the Pampa Ganapati temple, lighted the ceremonial lamp as part of the opening function in the forenoon.

T.R. Ravichandran, Regional Manager, The Hindu , Thiruvananthapuram; K.S. Prabhakumar, Assistant Regional Manager; Ninku Mathew, sales officer, and T. Makarajyoti, customer relations officer, were present.

All publications of The Hindu are on sale at the centre at a seasonal discount of 10 per cent.

The centre also features a mini-exhibition that gives a brief description of the 133-year-old history of the newspaper, its quality production mechanism, growth rate, achievements, etc.
