Technopark on Wednesday hosted the sixth edition of the Daan Utsav celebrations. Actor Murali Gopy inaugurated the event. He delivered the message of Daan Utsav (formerly Joy of Giving Week) to the employees.

“Seeing the celebrations here, I am sure they will not end today. They should go on every day and be a way of life,” he said. Students from schools for the deaf at Jagathy; Sree Mookambika Sravana Samsara Vidyalayam, Vazhuthacaud; and St. Mary's School, Pattom, spent a day in Technopark and visited a few IT companies on the campus.

Technopark employees from organisations such as Allianz, RR Donnelly, UST Global, and Qburst took them around their campus. A bus trip was arranged on the campus for students.

Magician Rajesh Wayanad entertained the students with street magic. Bhavani Atrium hosted an exhibition-cum-sale of paintings of Swapna Augustine from October 6 to 7. Swapna, who belongs to Kothamangalam, was born without arms. She had started to draw at a very early age using her legs.

Fulfilling wishes

The employees also fulfilled the wishes of students, which were displayed on wish trees. Wish trees were placed in front of all buildings of Technopark. Wishes include simple needs like umbrella, lunch boxes, toys and watches. Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural organisation of Technopark employees announced a scholarship for meritorious students from indigent families.
