Summer camp concludes

250 students undergo training in different sporting events

A 50-day summer coaching camp conducted by University of Calicut for school students concluded on Friday.

Inaugurating the valedictory session, Vice Chancellor K. Mohammed Basheer said the university would go the extra mile in training young talent. He said the university was offering its facilities for the young children living in the neighbourhood with the objective of giving a fillip to the country’s surge in sporting events.

More than 250 students underwent training in different sporting events. Dr. Basheer gave away certificates and jerseys to them. Pro Vice Chancellor P. Mohan presided. Registrar T.A. Abdul Majeed delivered the keynote address. Physical education head V.P. Sakeer Hussain and assistant registrar K.P. Mohanakrishnan
