Students’ short films win prizes

The Rasmi Film Society here has announced the results of a documentary and short film competition it conducted for school and college students as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

In the documentary section, ‘Victim of Laurel’ produced by P.K. Ashhab Ayub and Mansoor Ali of MBL Media School, Kozhikode, won the first prize.

In the short film category, ‘Nizhalchithram’ directed by Dipin Mathew from Government Higher Secondary School, Pala, Kannur, won the first prize.

Film director Melattur Ravi Varma will give away the prizes during the day-long short film festival to be held here on May 30. The winners were selected by a jury consisting of poet Manambur Rajanbabu, M.A. Latheef, Haneefa Rajaji, Anil K. Kurupan and G.K. Rammohan.
