Strengthen secular forces: Sachin Pilot

February 24, 2019 11:26 pm | Updated 11:26 pm IST - MALAPPURAM

Congress leader and Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has called for concerted efforts to strengthen secular forces in order to unseat the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the centre.

Addressing the district conference of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) here on Sunday, Mr. Pilot criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over the attacks on Kashmiris in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack. “Young students of Jammu and Kashmir are harassed across the country. They are beaten and brutalised,” he said. He said the United Democratic Front (UDF) would sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha elections no matter how many times BJP president Amit Shah and Mr. Modi visited Kerala and tried to influence people.
