Strategy to promote MSMEs mooted

The Kochi-based Institute of Small Enterprises Development has proposed a comprehensive business birth rate strategy on a campaign mode under an institutional arrangement to help promote new Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and ensure the health of the existing ones.

The director of ISED P. M. Mathew said here on Sunday that the Union government efforts to boost start-ups were in the right direction. It can be complemented with the business birth rate strategy over a period of three years starting 2016. He was speaking here on the India MSME Communication Programme and of the forthcoming annual national review called India MSME Report 2015. The ISED report, the 18th in the series, will be released at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai on November 26 by deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India S. S. Mundra. The programme is being organised by the ISED Small Enterprises Observatory along with the All-India Association of Industries.
