: Wayanad District Collector Kesavendrakumar has termed one-sided the decision of the government to withdraw the case registered against eight activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) in connection with allegedly smearing him with motor oil while he was Director of Higher Secondary Education in Thiruvananthapuram.

He told mediapersons on Monday that the government had taken the decision without discussing with him. The incident happened on February 5, 2013 when Mr. Kesavendrakumar was the Higher Secondary Director. The KSU activists, including Sippy Noorudheen, former KSU district unit general secretary, had barged into his cabin and smeared him with oil in protest against the increase in fee for higher secondary courses.
