Sahodaya honours CBSE toppers

The dominance of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students in professional programmes is the result of quality education they get from their schools, said P.V. Abdul Wahab, MP.

Inaugurating a talents meet organized by the regional chapter of the CBSE Sahodaya School Complex at Nilambur on Saturday, Mr. Wahab underscored the superiority of the CBSE stream over others in school education in the country.

Sahodaya president M. Abdul Nazar presided.

Mr. Wahab gave away the Sahodaya Excellence Awards to M.E.S. Campus School, Kuttippuram; Airport School, Karipur; Peevees Model School, Nilambur; and St. Joseph’s School, Puthanangadi, which secured top victories in the CBSE examinations.

Gania Tasnim from M.E.S. Campus School, Kuttippuram, won the merit award in Science category. Rasina Sherin from Airport School, Karipur, won the award in Commerce. District panchayat member M.A. Razak gave away the awards to them. Sub-inspector K.P. Ajit gave away awards to toppers from across the district. As many as 425 students from 62 schools who secured A1 in all subjects in Class X were given awards. In higher secondary section, 85 students were also given awards. Sahodaya general secretary M. Jouhar and Exam Controller P.A.M. Abdul Khader spoke.
