Sabarinadhan weds Divya S. Iyer

Aruvikkara MLA K.S. Sabarinadhan on Friday married Thiruvananthapuram Subcollector Divya S. Iyer at Kumarakovil in Kanyakumari district.

The brief ceremony was attended by a select group, including former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC vice president V.S. Satheesan, and former Minister K.C. Joseph.

Mr. Sabarinadhan, 33, is the son of the late Congress leader G. Karthikeyan.

He won the Aruvikkara byelection in 2015 and retained the seat in the elections of 2016.

Dr. Iyer, 32, is a medical doctor by training, who joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2013.

Prior to her current stint in the capital, Dr. Iyer had served as Assistant Collector in Kottayam.

Some weeks ago, it was Mr. Sabarinadhan himself who broke the news of his impending wedding with Dr. Iyer, through the social media.
